Surfer's Beach, El Cotillo

The surfer's beach of El Cotillo is a long expanse of beach providing several coves overlooked by towering cliffs.

As well as providing miles of beach, this area serves the surfing community. Surfing, body boarding, wind surfing and kite boarding are all practised here with the offshore winds and huge breakers provided some challenging conditions.

As there can be a very strong undertow off this beach, it is not recommended for bathers even though there is a lifeguard on duty during the summer.
