Flights to Fuerteventura

There are regular scheduled flights direct from the UK to Fuerteventura with EasyJet, Ryanair and Monarch and there are also charter flights with Thomas Cook and First Choice from most major airports.

NEW!   Ryanair will be flying direct to Fuerteventura from Bounemouth from 1st April 2010 with flights every Thursday and Sunday.

NEW!   Ryanair will be flying direct to Fuerteventura from Glasgow from 2nd April 2010 with flights every Monday and Friday.

NEW!   Ryanair will be flying direct to Fuerteventura from Liverpool from 31st March 2010 with flights every Wednesday and Saturday.

NEW!   Ryanair will be flying direct to Fuerteventura from Dublin from 30th March 2010 with flights every Tuesday and Saturday.

Here are a few points and options to bear in mind if the above cannot satisfy your needs:

1. Check to see if your dates coincide with UK school half term/end of term as flights during school holidays are always much more expensive that at other times.

2. The main operators from the UK to Fuerteventura are Thomson and Thomas Cook who fly from most UK airports.   There are other regional operators - check your local airport for details.

3. You might like to consider flying via Lanzarote/Gran Canaria/Tenerife with either a local connecting flight (Binter or Islas Airways) or using the ferry between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura (be aware though that the last ferry leaving Lanzarote for Fuerteventura is at 7pm).

4. EasyJet serves the island via Madrid but only from Bristol, Liverpool, Gatwick and Luton.   The return leg might involve a stopover in Madrid because of the flight times unless you use an alternative operator such as Spanair to fly from Fuerteventura to Madrid.

5. Consider buying a cheap package holiday to anywhere on the island and then not using the accommodation.   We know of several people who have managed to get very cheap package holidays which worked out much cheaper than the flights would have been but gave up the accommodation because they did not actually want to holiday in the suggested resorts.

6. Contact your local travel agent.   They are often aware of special deals that you may be able to take advantage of.

Here are a few alternative methods of getting to Following from Ireland:

1. Aer Lingus have flights direct from Dublin to Fuerteventura...

2. Charter flights with Budget Travel and with Falcon Holidays

Budget fly on Saturdays and Falcon on Sundays.

3. For last minute bargains try Holidays On Line

4. Charters from Belfast with Thomas Cook

5. Ryanair or Aer Lingus to Madrid then Easyjet, Iberia, AirEuropa or Spanair to Fuerteventura.

Easyjet does not work on the return without an overnight in Madrid.

6. Aer Lingus from Dublin, Belfast and Cork to Lanzarote to connect with the ferry - will probably

mean an overnight in Playa Blanca on the outward journey.

7. Aer Lingus or Ryanair to a major UK airport to connect with a charter flight.

8. Aer Lingus to Gran Canaria then to Fuerteventura with either Binter or Islas Airways.
