Here are a few points and options to bear in mind if the
above cannot satisfy your needs:
1. Check to see if your dates coincide with UK school
half term/end of term as flights during school holidays are always
much more expensive that at other times.
2. The main operators from the UK to Fuerteventura are
Thomson and
Thomas Cook who fly from most UK airports.
There are other regional operators - check your local
airport for details.
3. You might like to consider flying via Lanzarote/Gran
Canaria/Tenerife with either a local connecting flight (Binter
or Islas
Airways) or using the ferry between Lanzarote and
Fuerteventura (be aware though that the last ferry
leaving Lanzarote for Fuerteventura is at 7pm).
4. EasyJet
serves the island via Madrid but only from Bristol,
Liverpool, Gatwick and Luton. The return leg might
involve a stopover in Madrid because of the flight times
unless you use an alternative operator such as
Spanair
to fly from Fuerteventura to Madrid.
5. Consider buying a cheap package holiday to anywhere
on the island and then not using the accommodation. We
know of several people who have managed to get very
cheap package holidays which worked out much cheaper
than the flights would have been but gave up the
accommodation because they did not actually want to
holiday in the suggested resorts.
6. Contact your local travel agent. They are often
aware of special deals that you may be able to take
advantage of.
